Spells, Incantations, Chants

Here is a list of some spells and stuff I could muster, but I'm not really sure they work.
So, if anyone tries them, please tell me if they work for you :)

Cleansing spells

Spell #1:

Take a container that can withstand heat. Cover the bottom with sea or non iodized salt and then pour alcohol over it until it covers the salt. Now place the container on a tray (as it will get very hot) and light it. Walk around all rooms stating using whatever you wish but telling the negative to get out!

Spell #2:

Walk the area sprinkling a little salt here and there. Saying:
"With this I purify you
of the past,
of hurts and memories
keeping only love."

Sending "bad stuff" away

To the Goddess, I do pray
Grant me power, strength to flay
This one's curse
With these words, I hold thee at bay

To cleanse a home from negative energy

These are especially good measures to take when moving into a new place, beginning ritual activities in a new space, or to release bad feelings when an inhabitant has been sick or has died. I did the home cleansing when I kicked my boyfriend out.

To cleanse a single room - on top of a newspaper, set a blue candle. surround with a circle of salt. burn a little sage in the room. light the candle, making sure it won't tip over. close the door and let the candle burn down. when finished, take newspaper, salt, and candle leaving and bury far from your home.

To cleanse a house - select four corners. set four candles: north - black, east - white, south - purple or dark red, west - blue. sprinkle a little salt at each doorway and window. burn sage in each room, paying special attention to windows and doors. strew fragrant herbs (rosemary, basil, lavender, others you like or consult a reference) and sweep them up with the salt. cast the swept herbs out your front door. you may want to sweep them off your porch so they aren't on your property anymore.

Protection Chants

Chant #1:

Guard well this threshold
Guard well this door
Make sure that _____
Will cross no more

You can chant this in front of a door or window you wish to protect. In the space you enter the name of whatever you want to stop from coming in (i.e. Hate or wickedness or even someone's name if you want). As you say the first part close the door or window. When you say the second part lock it if there is no lock that's ok the chant will still work. Then just finish the chant. If it's a window you can close the blinds when you recite the last portion.

Chant #2:

The following spell may be performed at any time you feel the need for extra protection. First of all, gather together the following: 1 white candle, implement for inscribing a candle, protection oil (such as Lotus,
Dragon's Blood, Frankincense, Sandalwood, or Rose Geranium), lighter, candle holder, and 4 obsidian arrowheads (obsidian, onyx, or apache tears stones may be substituted if you do not have the arrowheads). Also,
gather together any ritual items you feel necessary.

Next, cast your circle. In the center of your circle, facing North, take the obsidian arrowheads (or stones) into your hand. Charge them with protective powers and place them around the candle holder, one in the North,
one in the East, one in the South, and one in the West. Next, take the candle and inscribe a pentagram on it (which is among other things a symbol for protection), along with your name, or the name of the person you
wish protection for. Now anoint the candle with your oil, while concentrating strongly on your need for protection. Know that you are divinely protected, a child of the Goddess and God. See and feel yourself being
completely safe and secure, protected in your home, car, workplace, etc. Continue to charge your candle and visualize until you feel the candle literally bursting with energy. Now set the candle in the candle holder and
light it. You may wish to continue the visualization, or use whatever techniques you wish to send the energy out from you. When you are ready, close the circle and allow the candle to burn down completely. It is
finished. So Mote it Be!!!

Generic Spells

These spells can be applied to anything. Just tailor to your needs by adding the intent, new ingredients (like essential oils, or a poem that you think is appropriate):

The cord spell (you need one cord/rope/shoelace/ribbon about as long as your arm to tie with ease)
Tie nine knots in the cord , visualizing while you do it , what you want to
happen. The knots have to be tied in this order

say as you are tying and visualizing
"By knot of one , the spells begun
By knot of two , my words are true
By knot of three , it comes to be
By knot of four , powers in store
By knot of five the spells alive
By knot of six the spell is fixed
By knot of seven , the answers given
By knot of eight , I meld with fate
By knot of nine the thing is mine!
You can use this spell for anything you want , but if its for healing , keep it until you or the person is healed, then burn it. For drawing things toward you (love happiness) also keep it until the job is done, then burn it. For binding , bury it.

For the cord spell the cord should be 13". That's about the length from my elbow to the tip of my fingers for me. You guys can use a ruler. :o) You can also have the cord a color appropriate to the purpose of the spell. ex. yellow for a spell to aid you in passing a test, or blue for a spell to make you more calm and understanding around your in-laws See the colours page :)

Find a stone or crystal that you feel very comfortable with. For three days and nights, keep it on your person and whenever you touch it, think into the stone "By the Lady and her mate, I wish to alter my fate".
Once the three day period has passed, make sure you have on hand some broom, cedar, elder, and/or hazel. Take a piece of silk or cotton and write on it or on a piece of paper sandwiched in between the cloth and sewn together the spell you wish to perform. Use the rock or crystal or grind up the herbs/flowers/twigs into a rough mixture while concentrating on the spell. Take that mixture and put it in the cloth and use a piece of silk thread or cotton thread to sew/tie it closed keeping the stone out. Now, place the pouch where it will be most effective for the spell (if you want protection, over a door or window; money, by a mirror or over a window; love, by a window or your head when you sleep at night) and take the crystal and cleanse it in salt water and sun so it may be used again. This is best done the three days of the full or new moon so as to get the full potential into your spell.

You'll need one candle of the appropriate color, one candle holder, and matches. When you're ready to begin, hold the candle between the palms of your hands. Breathe deeply. Visualize your goal. Push personal, programmed power into the candle between your hands. Feel the energy streaming into it. Say appropriate words if you wish simply stating what you need to occur. Place the candle in its holder. Strike a match above the candle and draw down the flame toward the candle. Light the wick. Put the still-flaming match into a heat-proof container (or extinguish its flame with a quick flip of the wrist). Hold your hands around the candle's flame. Feel the energy. Visualize strongly. Leave the area. Let the candle do its work.

A bubble bath: ingredients: 100% Pure Soap Flakes or grated soap- 8 ounces, Witch hazel- 2 tablespoons, Almond oil- 2 cups, Spring water- 2 cups, essential oils of your choice. Boil the spring water and melt the soap in it. In another container, mix the witch hazel and almond oil together and shake well. Then slowly add the soap mixture to the witch hazel and oil blend and again, shake or blend well. These amounts will make a large quantity of basic bubble bath mixture to which you can add the essential oils of your choice as and when required. For each 2 tablespoons base bubble bath use 15 drops of essential oil and mix well. Use 1-2 teaspoons of the final product in each bath.

Waxing moon concentration/blessing

When the waxing moon rises, hold up the item that you wish to consecrate or/and bless. Visualize the light of the moon filing it with its power and
light, and recite the following:

I reach before me, a new beginning is near
And seek to bring Energy to grow and be here
As the Moon shows newborn in the Great Lady's night
I wake the Power in all to nurture this light
And call the Waxing Moon's rays to ever more shine
The purpose and beauty for which I consecrate this
[(item) of mine]

Meditation to uncover information on a past life

Clear your mind, get a piece of paper, a pen and a lot of silence. let yourself enter into an open state of mind but remembering your purpose and then let your hand "scribble." just let your hand draw " on it's own" until you feel the need to stop. look for pictures in the " scribble" and let your pictures speak to you as to what your past lives were regarding the images you see.

Preparing a parchment for scrolls

Grow or gather your herbs, meditate and empower them, etc. as per your
normal magical practice. Tear strips of paper while
thinking of your intent to make special praying paper, and soak it
overnight. Place about 1/2 cup of paper pulp in a blender and
then add to sink or basin filled with water. Add herb (a few pinches is all
that is needed), and direct energy/intent into the mixture.
Much nicer to have incense, music, etc. to aid and feel the energy/creation
taking place.

Using a screen, press, etc. follow the normal paper making procedures.
Myself, after the paper dries, I prefer to roll it into a scroll
and add a specifically colored ribbon to seal the intent and make it=
special.

Attracting-a-lover spell

A powerful ritual for attracting a lover requires twine made from the hair of a male goat, a few hairs of the lovers head, and an altar bedecked in honor of Cernunnos, the roman incarnation of the horned God. This altar will contain autumn leaves, pine cones, oak leaves, evergreen branches, red candles, ritual horns, as well as red wine and smoldering incense of the sort sacred to Cernunnos ( I will give an example in a separate post) draw your circle with your athame within it draw a equilateral triangle with its top most point facing east. Consecrate all the objects on your altar in the name of Cernunnos.Then face the east and invoke the Horned God .there are many invocations to the Horned God you may use one or write your own .I have a beautiful poem I use but it my be a little strong in content to write here but I will send it to you if you email me or post it with the founders OK!!. Repeat the invocation to each point of the compass , turning slowly clock wise. When you reach east again, the Horned God may manifest just out side the circle. He will be known by his powerful odor of male goat he may come as Pan a goat or merely a ephemeral of lust. Stay within your circle his image will fade when the ritual is completed. After your invocation , pass the goat hairs through the incense smoke and plate them while still invoking the god! knot the plait at each end and wear this close to your crotch or on your member if you are a male, for 28 days beginning at full moon and continuing through the lunar cycle. If this does not work there is a even stronger rite that can be performed.

To increase your capacity for learning
so you can get cleverer!

for us who still tolerate exams every so often!

You need:
-- 20 small candles of a colour that represents wisdom (these are
different colours in different pantheons)
-- enough rose incense to last AT LEAST 10 hours of burning
-- 14 books of various kinds - fiction by different authors & of
different styles, non-fiction on many topics, only ONE
encyclopedia/dictionary/thesaurus, and 5 newspapers or magazines (like
New Scientist/Time/Big Issue/New Statesman/etc, not teen mags or other
trash!!!)

The night before the "official start" of the waxing moon, you need to
lay out all the equipment in front of you. Concentrate on the purpose of
this spell. Don't DO anything (like light a candle, etc) yet. Just
meditate on your hopeful outcome.

The next morning (before 9am), light some incense and one candle.
Concentrate on one book/magazine/newspaper. Don't try and read it but
absorb the information it has in it. Think about things connected to it.
Let your mind follow a chain of thought naturally, but stay on relevant
topics. After about half an hour, pinch out the incense but let the
candle burn out.

Repeat in the evening (that's after 9pm) with another candle, another
book/zine/paper and the same stick of incense. It's important that you
don't waste any incense - even if there's only teeny bit left.

Carry on doing this morning AND evening for another 9 days.

By this time, your candles will be used up (because you let each of them
burn out), but you may have some incense left. If so, find a quiet space
of time during which you can burn the total amount that is left, in one
go. As you light the incense, and as it all burns away, think again bout
the purpose of this spell. Let your mind wander. If you get any strange
images in your mind at this time / any visualizations, note them once
all the incense has burned out. These "messages" might help you.

Breaking a curse or spell

Get yourself an old cooking pot, place a black candle in the center, fill the pot with water until it is 2" below the wick of the candle. Light the candle and say, "If truly hexed or cursed I am, let it break with quench of flame". Then stare into the flame and see all the negative energy being drawn into it. When the candle burns down to the water level, and the flame sputters out, say, "So mote it!". Dig a hole and empty the water into it. Now bury the candle. It is done.

Breaking bad habits & overcoming obstacles

Take a black candle which has been ritually cleansed and some anointing oil which has also been ritually blessed. Do not use anything for this which has not been cleansed or blessed already. Depending on the desired result, you should choose an oil which corresponds to this end. At the time of the new moon, or when it first begins to wane, cast a circle or use your 9' cord to create a sacred space. Place the black candle (preferable a taper) on the altar with the oil. Have only blessed/cleansed tools in this ritual. Cast the circle. Call the Goddess and her consort. Use a burin to engrave the candle with the spell you wish to cast. Now, anoint the candle using the oil. While you anoint the candle with the oil, speak these words out loud or silently "Tonight no moon, tomorrow the first one. Let this be eroded till my will be done. Candle burn down to remove all ill. Let this spell be cast by the power of my will." And once you have anointed the candle, place it in a safe place to it can burn down completely.
